People of the Way Ministries

In the spring of 2004, God laid upon my heart a need to reach out to others and share His love. It instantly came to me where to start this outreach. It wouldn’t be the homeless shelter, nor would it be a children’s home. God said to me, “Reach all people, no matter who they are.” So the next Saturday Morning I headed to the Anderson Jockey Lot. The Anderson (SC) Jockey Lot is the largest flea market in the Southeast. It averages 2,000 vendors and up to 40,000 visitors each weekend. It is 60+ acres of wheeling and dealing!!! All walks of life visit this place every weekend. Man, woman, boy, and girl. I saw different cultures, races, and religions. God said that He wanted me in the midst of the people, not to provide for their physical needs but to awaken their spiritual needs. God has really opened a lot of doors through The Flea Market Ministry. I now go to other flea markets in the area and as I like to say- “Share the Love of Jesus Christ!!!” Although People of the Way Ministries takes on many mission projects each year such as a Christmas Toy Drive, Rodeo Ministry, and Race Track Ministry, our main focus is still the flea markets. God is still working through our ministry. Please say a prayer for us today.

Another thing we are heavily involved in is community outreach. We meet on the streets on Saturday afternoon and provide hot meals for the people living in the area. Not only do we provide physical food, but also, we provide spiritual food. Each meal is served with a Gospel Message, Music, and personal witnessing.
